Our success is built upon a long tradition of knowledge and service.

Barbara J Ford graduated from the University of California, Sacramento (CSUS) in 1981 with a Master in Business Administration degree. One and a half years earlier Barbara had received her Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in accounting from CSUS.

 

Barbara has an extensive work background in small businesses; construction; finance; auditing and education.

 

While growing up in Northern California she was active in family owned businesses and has a sound understanding of the challenges that occur in running a business.

 

Construction is an area of familiarity to Barbara as she grew up in a construction oriented family.  Barbara has worked in the administrative side for large construction firms.  She was with Highland Construction in Tahoe City.  Highland Construction was a subsidiary of Cattermole-Trethewey out of Canada and built dams, highways, installed water and sewer systems.  Barbara was also interim controller for Torre Construction in Newport Beach, CA.  Torre Construction built the Black Angus and Jolly Ox restaurants as well as several other well known establishments.

 

Barbara taught business classes at Sierra College for four years while working on her degrees and later taught Accounting for two years at CSUS. 

 

Barbara worked for the Auditor General of the State of California and was Audit Manager for a local CPA firm prior to starting her own practice.

 

Barbara has been a resident of Orangevale, Ca since 1982 and operates her business there, servicing the surrounding areas of Roseville, Folsom, Fair Oaks, Citrus Heights, etc.  She also serves clients in San Diego and as far away as Florida, as well as several other states.
